Page behavior
How Urgency affects notification delivery.
Not every page is high-urgency and drop-everything. Hotpot allows you to set the urgency of a Page and adjust the notification behavior based on that urgency.
Urgency and Integrations
Many pages come from Integrations. Each integration has mechanisms for mapping to Hotpot's urgencies. Check the Integration documentation for your tools!
Urgency and the API
You can specify an urgency when creating a page via the API. The Page API documentation has details!
Configuring behavior
Hotpot allows you to adjust the behavior for each urgency. To do so, browse to the schedule in question and click Edit Schedule. The Notification settings section on this screen contains a block for each Urgency. You can adjust the following settings:
How to deliver the message (Slack, text/voice, etc)
Should the delivery be limited to business hours?
