It's important to know what's going on when someone is paged. Has it been delivered yet? Hotpot's ability to defer delivery until business hours makes this visibility even more important. We're happy to've shipped a number of paging improvements as well as calendaring and scheduler features!
This release brings new visualization tools to help you track and respond to problems more effectively. Check out the page timeline to see the full life cycle of any page and use the team dashboard's new shift transition visual to make handoffs clearer than ever. Moments also got a major UX revamp too - grab a coffee and enjoy the refreshed experience!
Hotpot — and on-call in general — is better with friends! To that end, we've been working on making the Smart Scheduler better bringing on new folks. Paging also gets UI improvements this week!
Now pages open in a detail pane instead of those annoying popups. The scheduler got smarter about who it suggests for replacements, and the mobile experience is way better.
We've improved the experience for handling pages. You can now have the app follow your system theme. Oh, and we completely rewrote our docs!
Goodbye scheduling headaches! We've revamped scheduler management with intuitive tabs, simplified onboarding, and renamed "stints" to "shifts" for clarity.
Is it urgent? Now you can tag pages from Slack as high or medium urgency so your team knows exactly when to drop everything. We've also added clickable links throughout the paging flow.
Group your moments right from the start! Now you can specify or create groups at moment creation time. We've also improved scheduling to better explain why someone got picked for on-call duty.
Now you can customize your on-call schedules with different stint types, supporting one-day shifts, weekend/weekday splits, and more for teams with aggressive SLAs.
