This week we're tackling the 'who's covering what' puzzle with smarter schedule insights, giving your pages a fresh coat of visibility, and turning moment data into something you can actually see. Plus, a bunch of quality-of-life improvements that'll make your daily Hotpot experience just that much better.

๐Ÿ—“๏ธ Schedule improvementsโ€‹

Teams often change, and it's important to know if someone in your schedule is missing some key information. Hotpot now flags any issues like missing phone numbers or incomplete Slack connections in the Stages section of the schedule page.

When setting up coverage, it's important to know if someone is already on-call for a different stage so you can make the right decision. Good news, selecting a user for coverage now makes this clear! Here we show that Maire is already on-call for secondary.

Additionally:

  • Corrected an issue where syncing availability from external integrations could create coverage in the past.
  • Added capability to not factor in the presence of other schedules for a user's shifts.

Visibility into the timeline of a page has been improved, with situations like non-delivery during working hours colored for quick scanning.

Reviewing moments over stints, teams, or your whole company now comes with a handy, groupable visualization showing the count of moments matching your search criteria.

  • Auth: Providing an incorrect verification code during multi-factor authentication now provides better feedback.
  • General: Performance improvements to team members page.
  • General: Lots of dependency upgrades. Maintenance is important to future health!
  • Integrations: Improved resilience of integrations that tended to be disabled when downstream errors occurred.
  • Team: Improved workflow around joining teams and adding users to new teams.
  • Slack: Improved resilience of status command.
  • Slack: Improved behavior of Slack group updates, and improved our record keeping when things go wrong.
  • UI: Time zone selection is now searchable, avoiding that gigantic list of time zones.
  • UI: Table zebra stripes are now higher contrast.
  • UI: Tag badges that were missing tag icons now have those tag icons in handoff and prepare steps.
  • Users: Improved styling and navigation around deleted users.
