Set urgency
Hotpot defaults to High urgency, but not every page is an urgent, drop-everything situation. You can set the urgency of a page with the UI or API and adjust the notification behavior based on that urgency.
Urgency and integrations
Many pages come from integrations. Each integration has mechanisms for mapping to Hotpot's urgencies. Check the integration documentation for your tools to see how Hotpot maps their urgency settings.
Urgency and the API
Specify an urgency when creating a page with the API. For instructions, see the page API documentation.
Configure behavior
To adjust the behavior for each urgency:

Go to the schedule in question and click Edit Schedule.

Review the Notification settings section. It contains a block for each urgency. Adjust these settings as desired:
- How to deliver the message (Slack, text/voice)
- Should the delivery be limited to business hours?
