Setting up an on-call call schedule shouldn't require a whitepaper and a series of blog posts to implement well. We're constantly adjusting the knobs and levers available to you while trying to prevent too much complexity. This week, we've shipped a small UI overhaul of the settings screen to make finding what you need easier and the outcomes clearer.
Every option on the screen has been relabeled, a hint added, and rearranged to be more intuitive. Over time, we expect this area to improve greatly as we expose more of Hotpot's powerful scheduler.
Adding and removing users to a schedule has been revamped with a more compact and informative UI.
Coverage: Improvements to date handling in the display of stint coverage have stopped "backdated" coverage from appearing.
General: Updates to various dependencies. Gotta stay current!
General: More resilient date handling in stint search.
Notification: A vCard is now available to help get your phone ready for notifications from Hotpot.
Scheduler: Only generate as many stints in advance as there are people in the team. Smart!
Triage: Improvements to bulk actions.
Triage: Improvements on redirects after group addition or creation.
UI: The current stint view no longer wraps weirdly with long names or lots of people handling coverage.
UI: More dark mode improvements!
UI: Popovers have been refactored across the app for compatibility and to reduce extra elements. One of our engineers really hates extra divs…
